What the ridiculous droprates on Rifts painfully brought to light is that the real bummer in the rng is really just the randomization of affixes on legendary and set items.
The game would’ve been better served by tripling the quantity of legendary items, sort them into five rarity tiers instead of the three we have now and uniquely defining any individual legs affix sets. Accordingly, the fixation on 6 to 7 max affixes should’ve been broken up on legs to create room for diversity in their design. Then, with perhaps one to three stats in the slot value range and quite a bit of the affixes of lower values, that said, this should complemented by something like three affix legs providing much higher than slot values on all their predefined affixes, over midrange affixed legs having one or two stats above the usual and up to Masters of versatility-legs.
Season 2 being run on the PTR and Season 5 run on the regular game.
The quantity of new legendary effects is a joke. Season 2 on the PTR will set a precedent and that players are preparing to expect that Blizzard allows the entire season to run through. Certainly, they really need to fix that, and after that we can talk about the leg rate. Legs are the new rares. Actually, mostly there’re a ton of ‘no orange’ legs still dropping, and those are the ones dropping the most, all the damn time.
If you wouldn’t auto salvage 5 Ancient Exarians as long as Exarian actually did something useful you’d probably be fine with the live drop rates, Therefore in case more item types were actually useful, if you think I’m saying this buff must go live as is you’re an idiot. You’d still look for something reasonably close you wouldn’t ragequit when you finally get build unlocking item x at level 546 and it has minimum damage and 3 stats wrong, Therefore in case Kadala could change more than one property. Let me ask you something. Will this have some long period effect on me? However, especially since I usually play Hardcore, where I can do T6 but have a lot lower killing speed. Probably not, though I’ll obviously miss it when reality returns. You could fix it, it’d just be expensive as hell.
Will the super buff rate cause wider problems, though?
Will players complain endlessly or just /ragequit when they can’t get +2000percent or even +200 legendary drop rates in the real game? On top of that, point one is definitely true, regarding the wait to get on the PTR. Of course it’s not like endlessly complaining about something ain’t already the constant state of affairs on the Battle.
The obvious fix here’s for Blizzard to allocate more resources to the PTR. They put a big buff for incentive, in the macro, they obviously wanted more people to get on the PTR and test out stuff. Furthermore, it worked. On Point #2, about players getting spoiled by the ‘legaminute’ Therefore in case they doubled the capacity to allow more players on.
Including most Ancient Items. PTR just to get a quick taste of what’s to come. At least I stopped and went back to live as I was not testing, only feeding my greed. There are people who do test for the right reasons and they definitely need to be able to get into the game to do that so the quite a few of us can enjoy it when it’s live. Lacking those interface improvements, I’ve already gotten to the point of leaving lots of legs on the ground, just to save time. So, it felt like heaven had fallen upon Sanctuary… therefore it got old real fast with all the leg drops.
That doesn’t mean it’s not true, the entire other people aren’t real testers argument simply reeks of elitism and self justification. Whenever experimenting with new skills and gear builds, etcetera If that’s not testing therefore what is, everyone on the PTR is finding the new gear. I’m almost sure I haven’t been able to get back on and I don’t really feel the need, since this buff. My testing this round is done until they release a brand new iteration of the patch, obviously so it’s different for other people who weren’t able to play from ptr release+S2 release. Now let me tell you something. That’s open to debate, perhaps the argument is that more casual PTR players aren’t intending to post feedback and debate the problems the way the more dedicated PTR players will.
The weighted loot system going to be scrapped and they really need to fix all the garbage legendaries asap I know that.
GR for ageser and more difficult. It is lower but decent reward for the short thing for ageser thing. Actually, the current GR values are much lower and more sane, yet a lot better than the live values.
What do you guys think of the PTR problems with the community buff, right? I’d say, that the droprate gained by going up a difficulty has going to be taken over to live, as it just really feels right there. Therefore, do you think it’s planning to corrupt the short term testing and sew seeds for awhile period of time game and community? That’s probably just me. You see, is it nothing a little more server capacity couldn’t fix, this is the case right?
The fact that people are logging in because of the drops shows that there’s something wrong with drop rates on live.
PTR is nothing apart from a BIG JOKE u cant play or host your personal games…. Some people are struggling to get the first 6 piece set. In my case.
People who are just playing for the loot are testing as well, It’s great that a lot of people who are testing posting things, especially when they find bugs. Blizzard passively collects a huge quantity of data about what skills and items people are using and what content people are running. Fact, only the quantity of blue items is already lacking far should look like. You can find more information about it here. For once the percentage of blues was starting to turn from crippling to just not enough. It’s really quite ridiculous to argue that people shouldn’t play if they’re not intending to for ages being that they’re using up server space, while active testers can be better per capita than passive testers. Certainly, with the droprate feeling more like it must on Hard or Master, on T2 it was a strong opposite. For awhile because people are testing for the wrong reasons, it really is a bad thing, and they’ll get problems I found were already reported before I got to forum and, reddit, as well as wizard I tested the level reduction gem (leveled a barb ‘pre Sand’ therefore a little bit on the monk -maybe I played it wrong but my monk was rather shit with bells+monkey king set. Anyway, I know it’s creating huge queues keeping the potential testers who need to do their job out of the game.
expect a wipe very soon and a brand new Season 2 on PTR and again and again until they are ready with the patch, they did 3 or 4 season resets on the previous PTR when they have been introducing Seasons into the game.
