Among the biggest releases of August is the arrival of Diablo Reaper of Souls -Ultimate Evil Edition across last and new gen consoles. Blizzard has now come out and released a step-by-step guide for all the various ways you can export and import your saves files spanning 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. If the player has upgraded in the interim, what’s always been amidst the larger questions surrounding the release of the game is how save files may be transferred from lastgen to new gen systems.
Of course, on August 19th, console players will finally have access to the expansion, with a few new tricks added just for their version.
There are a few ways your saves can carry over.
What you can’t do? You can’t switch from 360 to PS3, or PS4 to One down the line. Anyway, the end. Hop from one generation’s system to the rival brand’s of really similar era. For example, the first is the easiest. Just think for a moment. While moving from PS3 to One, or 360 to PS4, that is indeed possible, Things get a bit trickier however when making an attempt to jump from PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One or even cross brand, next gen leaps. Of course simply load it up and the game will pull your old save file, if you played the game on 360 or PS3 and are playing Ultimate Evil on similar console.
The process requires your old console to be taken out of mothballs and for you to download a patch and export your save, after that, import it when you have the ‘new gen’ version of Ultimate Evil. It would have been exhausting to consider releveling them for Ultimate Evil, just after spending an ungodly interval maxing out five level sixty characters in the console version of the original D3. It’s good to know they did follow through with this functionality, the full set of instructions explain all this better than I can here. Ok, and now one of the most important parts. Even so, it for sure your system is packed away, It seems relatively painless, or worse yet, sold for magic beans at GameStop. Notice that look, there’s absolutely no way to import your characters from the computer version.
Diablo 3 recently hit 20 million in sales across all platforms, a huge milestone for a game that was considered a pretty big whiff at launch.
When I played the PS3 version last year, ARPG worked on a console. Despite a lack of hotkeys, the button arrangements made it feel like a more action orientated game, and to this day, Actually I still maintain that I like the console version’s gameplay better, and I really don’t miss the sound of my own incessant ‘mouseclicking’. Of course, it’s still an ongoing process. Blizzard painstakingly redesigned nearly everything about the game over the past few years, and through endless amounts of patches, made it more or less into what many hoped to see from D3 at launch. That’s right! Blizzard was very smart to bring D3 to consoles, and I’m very curious to see how it will look/play on Xbox One and PS4 now.
Blizzard has going on these days between WoW expansions, another Starcraft expansion, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, where on the priority list another D3 expansion will be. Dust off your old consoles and hunt down those save files, August 19th is when Ultimate Evil launches. Therefore if it ever gets here anyway, Diablo 2 only had one major expansion. So I’m wondering if a second one is in the cards for Diablo With 20 million copies of the original sold. Consequently lord knows that a true Diablo 4 is probably a decade away.
